The Fruits of Evolution

The fruit of no God, no responsibility, and no accountability leaves a void where man has a spiritual need. Moral degeneracy is an evil outgrowth of the theory of evolution. To the evolutionist, there is no absolute right or wrong to stand for.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” - Matthew 7:18-20

God has given each of us a free will to choose his or her faith and practice in life. However, we may choose our course, but we cannot choose the consequence. The Christian, by wisdom, chooses the outcome and then he accepts the way to reach the eternal state with his Creator. By accepting prevailing social trends, most people “increase unto more ungodliness” (2 Timothy 2:16). Now it has even come to rejecting marriage and natural sex roles. To the evolutionist, there is no absolute right or wrong to stand for.

Evolution’s “survival of the fittest” is the physically strongest, not the most righteous or ethically fit. Since evolution teaches we’re just so many pounds of flesh and bone, there is no defense for the weak or unheard in society. The unborn, the handicapped, and the aged are the victims. Evolution is a religion of death and has opened America to killer religions. The birth and death of an infinite number of organisms supposedly produced the complexities and beautiful designs of plants and animals. So also death (assisted suicide, euthanasia) is evolution’s solution if life gets too distressing, painful, or otherwise undesirable.

On the other hand, the child of God believes in the sanctity of life: “Thou shalt not kill” (Exodus 20:13) and uses all reasonable means to preserve it. The God-given law of justice for the land is blood for blood. “Ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it” (Numbers 35:33). Finally, all will be paid for!

The departure from God’s law has produced multitudes of maladjusted and physically and emotionally damaged people. Many of these become wards of the state. When faced with social failures, broken relations, emotional and mental breakdowns, suicides and murders, sociologists often reverse blame. They say Christians create guilt that causes people to feel and do bad things. Feelings become of highest importance and God’s moral law is rejected as dangerous.

The fruit of no God, no responsibility, and no accountability leaves a void where man has a spiritual need. In the Bible account comparing a man’s life to an empty house, seven more evil spirits came in the house (Matthew 12:43-45). So also society has not gotten less interested in the so-called “spiritual.” There has been a return to native religions, occult spiritism, and Satan worship.

Socialism

God made mankind with a need to worship and to be led by a higher power. When God, the good Master, and His law are rejected, man still seeks guidance (Romans 6:16). It may be occult guides or a trust in an “almighty” government. Civil government assumes the welfare of society when men no longer follow that inner moral compass, the conscience.

A book written by George Orwell in 1949 proposed a future ideal “Orwellian society.” A totalitarian government controlled everyone’s life. It decided who was fit to be born and, when they are no longer productive, when they should die. With propaganda, it perverted trust to the point of destroying privacy and punishing love. This is the direction ungodly governments go as we saw in communism and Nazism and is a growing trend in our society today.

The world is moving toward a crisis where there is no longer a “moral” political power to stop things. This will create a situation for a man to lead whom people will worship. God’s Word speaks of such a person who comes and attempt to rule the world (1 Thessalonians 2:1-12; Daniel 9:27; Revelation 13:3-7). This will happen before the Man whom God has chosen to judge the world in righteousness, Jesus Christ, comes to consummate world history (Acts 17:31).

Population Control

Evolutionists believe that man is the problem in the environment and that human population growth must be brought to zero by whatever means possible. Any means of contraception and altered lifestyles such as homosexuality, transgender, and abortion are seen as desirable. A United Nations population conference passed an action that said: “Unrestricted worldwide population growth can negate any socio-economic gains and fatally imperil the environment.” They used such unrealistic reasoning as: If the world’s population continues to increase at the present rate of 2%, in 700 years there would be one person for each square foot of the earth’s surface. But the world has stood for thousands of years already!

The child of God accepts God’s sovereign purpose on the earth. He will consummate His program before such an eventuality would happen. Many Scriptures describe a large family as a blessing. “Children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them” (Psalm 127:3-5).

Nature Worship

With the veneration of ecology, evolutionists return to Shamanism. These are the native religions of the world: Haitian voodoo, American Indian and Eskimo religion, Siberian Shamans, and the like. While claiming to evolve higher, they actually revert to heathen beliefs with all their bondage, fear, and death. Buddhism says the world is Maya (illusion) and the desired goal of Nirvana (death), a narcotic for starving populations.

True Christianity lifts man to a moral level that rejects the shedding of blood and the moral perversions that decimate pagans. Popular music idols glorify Satanism and sensual slavery and its horrible bondage. These revived ancient horrors are all part of Satan’s scheme to possess and defile God’s creation and man—the chief of His creation.

Moral Degeneracy

The moral revolution is an evil outgrowth of the theory of evolution. As the family unit is disrupted, new values and ways of saying things are promoted. Large extended families often live together in far less than ideal situations. Government welfare can foster such settings. Since evolutionists believe we are just a higher form of animal life, animal social behavior is studied and applied to humans. A science magazine reports that baboons kill their babies when the group becomes too crowded. The implications for people are obvious. Freudian psychology says anything you desire is okay. The mentality is described in the Bible in these words: “Let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die” (1 Corinthians 15:32). And that’s the end! According to one TV idol, he would “just want to die laughing.” God judges this with disease, oppression, crime, and death even before His final judgment. AIDS is cutting off multitudes of lives but the call is not for morality but for a cure and for providing drugs. The Christian displays God’s noble purpose for mankind—made in God’s image. He builds happy, working families on Bible principles.

Evolution and Education

More than three generations of Americans have now been indoctrinated in evolutionary humanism in the public schools. Children are taught that there are no absolutes. We are our own “gods” and must make our own reality. Society sees man as a rising creature, able to save himself, and that ethics and morals must evolve also. Scientific advances now tamper with life itself. Unscrupulous people will do things like looking for the “genius gene” to make a race of super humans and eliminate the unfit. Evil men can now experiment as Hitler tried to do. But men’s work leads to debauchery and the prevalence of death. For the Christian, the knowledge of God is first in education. We must believe that God is our Creator and Judge in order to see our need for Jesus as Saviour. This is the only power by which we can live life rightly. The Search for Alien Life Since evolutionists believe life evolved by a random process here on earth, they believe it likely did at other places in the universe as well. Billions of dollars are spent on space travel and radio telescopes to hopefully receive and send messages to any possible ears out there. They believe in the bizarre, hoping to find life on planets thousands of light-years away.

The Christian, with Bible knowledge, believes the earth was created first. It is the “center” of the universe in importance. The other heavenly bodies were created for the earth with its unique conditions for life.

The Climax of Evolution

Many will believe Satan’s age-old lie “ye shall be as gods” (Genesis 3:5). (See also 2 Thessalonians 2:11.) The New Agers speak of a quantum leap forward to a new species. But “when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them” (1 Thessalonians 5:3). This effort of Satan culminates under the antichrist (a new age messiah) in world war and Armageddon (2 Thessalonians 2:3, 4, 8-10; Revelation 16:12-16; 19:19). These armies are destroyed by Jesus Christ who has become “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS” (Revelation 19:15, 16).

Man’s Urgent Need

God knows us as individuals (Proverbs 15:3). He cares about us personally (Job 14:15). He will gather to Himself each person who responds to His provision of salvation. “And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels” (Malachi 3:17).

God will save His children from His final great judgments. “Behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain” (Isaiah 26:21). Finally, all believers will be reconciled to Him. Jesus spoke of the place of peace and righteousness He has prepared for believers: “I go to prepare a place for you... I will come again, and receive you unto myself.” (See John 14:1-3.)
