Jezebel embodied the essence of the feministic movement. Is the spirit of Jezebel permeating/infiltrating the church, the Bride of Christ? Do not answer that question before you listen to this sermon.
In any given group of parents, there will likely be some inclined to be overly harsh, and still more inclined to be overly permissive. Both extremes militate against the effectiveness of disciplinary measures. The child's spiritual and physical well-being is at stake; the matter is urgent!
Life happens; how will we respond to what life brings our way? will we be a victim of our circumstances or will we allow those circumstances to make us better?
To be a godly father may appear to be a daunting task. But the Bible way is really quite simple: teach your children about God, discipline them as needed, thank God for them, and don't anger them--and then do it God's way, over and over and over again.
For the true Christian, every child (and every person) is indeed a wanted child (or person) regardless of the circumstances of his conception, birth, or health. We will want our children, whether they were expected or whether they came as a “surprise.”
The question none can answer is this: what is the point of pushing for the legitimacy of homosexual pursuits, and raising up a counter institution to marriage that obliterates the legitimate institution for children, and that furthers no social or human good? And what will happen to the children?
Who is the wife to reverence, submit to, assist, encourage, and admire? According to the Bible, it is her own husband. Some practical teaching on how she can best fill her place and become the help God created her to be for him.
